We are looking for a Disability LIB Project Manager in London.
The job is for a person with a learning difficulty
You will work with a support worker to develop the project
Hours: 28 hours per week
Pay: NJC pay scale S02: £29,241 pro rata
Disability LIB is a partnership of 7 National Disabled Peoples Organisations to Capacity build 200 disabled people’s organisations in local and regional areas across England.
Over the three years you will work closely with the partners and 25 to 30 user led self advocacy groups for people with learning difficulties in England to make them stronger, improve their diversity and make links with other disabled peoples organisations in their area.
You as the Coordinator will manage a small team of staff.
To do this job you must:
Understand about people with learning difficulties being in control of their own organisation
Understand about equal rights and discrimination
The general things you must be able to do:
Be a good communicator and be able to manage and motivate staff
Be a leader, able to make decisions and share information
Work with partners or as part of a team

£15,736 to £19,710 per annum (Pay Award Pending) (pro rata for part time)
We are looking for highly competent Case Administrators to provide admin/clerical support within busy teams, often working under pressure with deadlines to meet. Duties will include production of documents and reports using computer-based systems (currently using Microsoft Office XP), together with inputting of information to our database and reception/switchboard duties as required. You must have accurate IT skills including word processing and data input, and the ability to deal sensitively with offenders and visitors. Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice is essential.

Probation Service Officers work within a wide range of setting and are integral to core Offender Management activities. The role involves supervising low/medium risk offenders, assessing risk, implementing and reviewing sentence plans, liasing with victims and undertaking court duties.
You will work and engage with the offender to encourage change, to help the offender develop new skills and to challenge anti-social behaviour and attitudes in order to reduce re-offending and to make a real difference in their lives.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work flexibly and as part of a multi-disciplined team and an ability to use computer based systems for accurate and timely input and retrieval of information. You must be able to demonstrate experience of working with a variety of people with social and personal difficulties and a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice is essential. The Service has approximately 1,400 staff spread across the area that are as diverse as the work that we do. We take great pride in our work and constantly seek to improve performance.
We are keen to appoint an experienced Public Relations Officer who is able to promote positive messages about the service to our target audiences and the media in Greater Manchester. You will work to improve and increase our communications activity and presentation of material to promote a greater appreciation of the range, quality and effectiveness of the work of the service.
Working with a small team and reporting to the Senior PR & Communications Manager, you will use your knowledge of Quark Xpress or similar desk top publishing packages to help us to design and develop a range of publications that support our operational work.
You will be experienced in both internal and external communications, with a flair for copywriting and design. The successful applicant will also have imagination, drive and knowledge and an understanding of the theory of public relations.
You will also need to have:
