What You Can Expect From Us:

The Independent Employment Advocacy Centre's Information Service offers good practice information on employing disabled people and related issues. This is available to anyone in Greater Manchester including disabled people, researchers, employers and organisations.

Latest news - October 07. We are currently putting together a detailed resource for employers looking at barrier removal when employing and retaining disabled people. It draws on what we have learned when advocating with disabled people in work situations and the experiences that disabled people bring to us. Browse the Employer's Toolkit.

A free and confidential information service about employing disabled people. If you are looking for information on a particular topic we can research the options and point you in the right direction. As a starting point, why not have a look at our frequently asked questions?

Information in a range of accessible formats. For example, some of our info can be produce in Braille, large print, easy read or audio.

 Details of factsheets and reports on good practice in the employment of disabled people. Many of these are available by email.

We have a detailed database of relevant organisations and can put you in touch with sources of advice, support and training.

You can sign up to e-news on the left to receive our free monthly briefing, Information Breakthrough, which highlights best practice, new legislation and cutting edge developments in the employment of disabled people.

Any individual or organisation based in Greater Manchester can contact us for information. We will offer a one-off signposting service to people contacting us from outside the area.
