Our Outreach Advocacy Workers support disabled people in Greater Manchester to access any services and information necessary to find or maintain successful employment or training.
We also provide information about employing disabled people to individuals, businesses and organisations in the area. We aim to keep people up to date with what they need to know and provide practical information on removing barriers in the workplace.
We now also offer training in employment self advocacy skills to disabled people.
Between November 2007 and October 2008 We Supported:
60 disabled people to tackle employment barriers through one to one employment advocacy.
47 disabled people to develop and share employment self advocacy skills.
155 individuals and organisations with tailored information.
An average of 1000 organisations, companies and individuals monthly with good practice info and policy updates.
